Are big homes back in style in Chandler AZ?
The average square ft.. of a new home built in the last year is at an all time high, according to the latest statistics from the census bureau.
After slowly shrinking in the last three years during the housing crisis, new home size has arisen in this recovery.
The average home built in 2013 measures and at 2600 ft.², which is about a bedroom bigger than the previous record of 2500 ft.² in 2008.
At least one third of all the new homes built in the last year have at least three bathrooms and 44% had four or more bedrooms, both all-time records.
The American dream for a big home did not go away during the housing bubble, it just took a brief temporary hiatus.
Major home builders will continue to focus their efforts on a more dense and walkable community, but due to demand there will continuously find innovative ways to give home buyers more home for their hard-earned buck.
Among the trends in these new homes are the amount of two-car garages, suggesting that the American appetite for the sweet ride is not went away. In fact, 85% of the new homes built last year had garages that could fit at least two cars which is another all-time high.
In Chandler Arizona, popular new home builders KB Homes, Ryland Homes, and Meritage Homes, are building homes with these trends in mind.
KB Homes is developing new community Fire Rock Ranch in Chandler AZ, which will include 135 new homes homes up to 3200 ft.². With many being two-story homes with two-car garages (and some three).
Ryland Homes is building new community La Valenciana in Chandler AZ, which will feature 70 new homes of which a majority will be two-story.
The average La Valenciana home in what will be a flourishing community will be a 3000 ft.² with four bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, and a three-car garage.
Meritage Homes, is building Santa Maria in Chandler AZ. Santa Maria will showcase 114 new homes for sale up to 2800 ft.². With many two-story, four-bedroom and three bathroom floor plans available.
So it looks like the big house is back in style and new home builders in Chandler AZ are taking notice and developing new homes for sale that will be the communities of the future.
